Francis House is a ‘home from home’ situated in pleasant grounds in Didsbury. It is convenient for the motorway and rail networks and it is only ten minutes from Manchester International Airport. It is also very near Booth Hall, Pendlebury, Christies and the New Manchester Children’s Hospital.
Accommodation for the sick children is in seven, rainbow coloured bedrooms, five of these are air conditioned and the rooms are fitted out with various sensory stimulating equipment. Some rooms have piped oxygen and each room has a bed settee for parents or friends.
We have comfortable flats and bed sitting rooms which can accommodate fourteen family members. These have en suite bathrooms and shared cooking/dining facilities.
The lounge is the main living space and off this we have a computer room, art and craft room and toy room. Teenagers have their own dedicated lounge with TV and computer games.
