Fundraising

It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to describe fundraising as the beating heart of Francis House – the engine room, the driver.

We will continue to provide the care if you help raise funds for Francis House.

You’ve heard the saying ‘take care of the pennies and the pounds will take care of themselves’ and nothing could be truer in our case.

Every penny which goes into the collecting tins and buckets goes some way to keeping us in business caring for the children and families of the North West.

If you break down our costs you can appreciate how small amounts add up and provide the vital fuel to keep things ticking over.

For every hour the hospice needs £222 just to stand still – to pay for the fabric of the building, heating, lighting and so on, as well as paying for the care we provide such as nursing, physiotherapy and a whole range of specialist medical care.

The major part of the money generated to pay for Francis House comes through the Fundraising Office and our volunteer fundraisers – people like you!

Fundraising is the thing which oils the wheels, provides the specialised care and keeps the smile on the faces of the Francis House children.

We’re not in the business of profit above all else – we just want to provide the highest quality care and respite for our families.

We want to provide the best, as you would yourself, and although pounds aren’t everything they do ensure we can provide whatever is needed whenever it’s needed.
