The Francis House Easter Chick Knit 2015 resulted in 8,251 woolly creations from as far away as France, Spain, South Africa and Australia, winging their way into the hospice, topping last year's total of 6,300 chicks. TV auctioneer and antiques expert Charles Hanson, a regular on the BBC’s The Antiques Road Trip and Bargain Hunt, left his gavel at home for a day to visit Francis House. In December 2014, Charles presided over the auction at our gala charity ball held at Mere Golf Resort.

Former chairman of Francis House Robin Wood, died aged 85 on 5th January 2015 after becoming unwell over Christmas. Robin Wood, from Ilkley only recently retired from the Chairmanship of the Board of Trustees in July, 2014 after serving 22 years. Robin chaired his first meeting on February 22, 1992.
