Friday 24 Apr 20 - Sunday 26 Apr 20 7:30 pm

Due to the Coronavirus crisis, unfortunately many of our events have had to be cancelled or postponed for the foreseeable future.

The West Didsbury Comedy Festival has been postponed. For more information, please see the event organiser’s website.

Hosted across seven venues with over 30 shows and 50 performers involved and featuring some of the biggest names in UK comedy including: Robin Ince, Boothby Graffoe, Tez Ilyas, Tony Law, Lou Sanders, Barbara Nice and Sophie Duker.

All proceeds from the opening event on the 24th April will be donated to Francis House and collections will take place at all other shows and venues.

With an ethos of big laughs in intimate venues, shows will take place during the day and late into the night in some of West Didsbury’s favourite bars and businesses, putting the community right at the centre of this exciting event.

The festival features traditional stand up and family and kid friendly shows, along with a new act competition, quiz night and food events.

Opening Event

Festival Director Kev Rook said: “Manchester doesn’t currently have an ‘open to all’ comedy festival, which is a travesty with our comedic heritage. We are looking to fill the void with a festival that we hope will be a bit special, seeing big names and rising stars in much smaller venues, but with huge atmospheres!”

The opening event takes place on Friday 24th April at The Woodstock Arms, Barlow Moor Road, featuring Robin Ince and Boothy Graffoe.  A rare chance to see two legends of comedy perform solo shows on one amazing night!
