Manchester City women's squad spend time at Francis House
Manchester City’s women’s team and staff went the extra mile to brighten up the festive period by visiting children and families at Francis House.
In the week before Christmas, six players including midfielder Jill Scott, forwards Pauline Bremer, Janine Beckie and Tessa Wullaert and goal keeper Karima Benameur, handed out signed team photos, scarves and gifts.
During the visit, the players joined siblings in craft sessions in the creative therapy room and experienced the relaxing environment of the multi-sensory room.
The Manchester City squad also visited Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital and The Christie.
The players then lined up with members of the Francis House care team including David Ireland, chief executive of Francis House.
“We are very grateful to Manchester City and the players for taking the time to come and see us on their annual visit. It’s a great afternoon and everyone really enjoys it. To see the smiles on the faces of the families and children was simply brilliant,” said David.
