Get involved in Volunteer Week

Volunteers’ Week (1-7 June) celebrates the invaluable contribution volunteers make across the UK.

Adults from Pheonix Group sat together

Pheonix Group, Warrington held a fundraising dance.

As part of Volunteers’ Week we are seeking fundraising volunteers to get involved in a community group project.

Can you, your friends or family spare a few hours a month to start a local fundraising group?

By working as a group, volunteers can support each other’s creativity and find friendship whilst developing support for Francis House across their local community.

Within the group, volunteers can organise their own events, complete bucket collections or help at Francis House events across Greater Manchester. It is completely up to you how to get involved.

Whether it is five pounds or five hundred pounds, every penny raised goes towards the care and support that we offer to families across the North West. Our fundraising staff at the hospice will support you along the way.

Charlotte Sanford, a second-year student at Manchester University, recently organised an exciting quiz night with her friends.

If you have time to spare and would like to start a fundraising group or get involved within your local area, please contact Ellie Bridges on 0161 434 2200.

“I have thoroughly enjoyed fundraising for this amazing charity. It was the first time I planned and hosted an event. I had so much fun and I hope to do it again.”
