St Elisabeth’s Church in Reddish will be opening its doors for 'A Christmas Story' service.
Francis House Children’s Hospice is inviting families, friends, and members of the community to join them in the beautiful setting of St Elisabeth’s Church, Reddish, to be part of a wonderful “Christmas Story” event.
The event on Friday December 9, at 7.30 p.m. will be featuring Christmas music, carols, readings and poems.
Musicians, organist and choir of St Elisabeth’s will be joined by Stockport Schools Brass Band, singing star Stuart Beech – who featured on Michael McIntyre’s “Big Show” – and a host of well-known personalities, all promising to make the evening the perfect start to the Christmas season.
David Ireland, chief executive officer of Francis House said: “We would like to invite everyone to come along to St Elisabeth’s to light their own Christmas candle, join us in singing a selection of well-loved Christmas carols, and listen to music from a choir, soloists and musicians with a reputation for producing an exceptionally high standard of music.”
A celebratory commemorative brochure will be given to everyone in attendance. Entrance to ‘A Christmas Story’ is free of charge, with the opportunity to make a donation on the night to support the vital work of Francis House who provides care and support to the families of children and young adults with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions.
