On Friday Dec 8, people from around the North West came together at St Elisabeth’s Church in Reddish for a spectacular evening of Christmas music, readings and carols in support of Francis House.
Music was provided by St Elisabeth’s Church Choir accompanied by organist David Cane, and Stockport Schools Brass Band.
There were readings and poems read by the The Lord Lieutenant, Diane Hawkins JP LLB, High Sheriff of Manchester, Mary-Liz Walker JP DL, Mayor of Stockport, Cllr, Graham Greenhalgh, broadcaster and trustee of Francis House, Dr Eamonn O’Neal DL, Sir Warren Smith KCVO KStJ JP and more than 200 people enthusiastically sang a range of traditional carols and enjoyed a celebration of the Christmas Story.
Thanks to the generosity of people on the night, the event raised a fantastic £2,500.
