Trek 4 – The ‘Accursed Mountains’ of Albania

Join us in 2019 on the trip of a lifetime to the ‘Accursed Mountains’ of Albania.

Following the amazing success of our previous treks, which have so far raised a staggering £112,000 in sponsorship, Francis House are inviting supporters to join our 2019 trek in the Albanian Alps. This will be an exciting journey taking in Alpine scenery, high passes and stunning valleys.

The Albanian Alps offer an unspoilt wilderness of magnificent snow-capped peaks, gorges, lakes and dense forests, dotted with tiny stone-built hamlets that have changed little in years.

Breath-taking scenery

This challenging trip will take place from 6^th – 14^th September 2019 and will involve five full days of adventurous trekking. During this time, you’ll enjoy breath-taking and remote mountain panoramas whilst hiking between simple guesthouse accommodations in traditional mountain villages.

The appeal of this memorable and rewarding trip is not just the incredible scenery, but the quietness of the remote trails; you are just as likely to meet local shepherds as other trekkers.

The trek will cost £1,124 per person. This includes flights, accommodation, meals and tour leaders, but excludes personal travel insurance.

In addition, we ask each trekker to raise a minimum of £1000 for Francis House. We will help you to build a fundraising plan to reach the target and will offer tips, advice, fundraising materials and support.
