Cheshire Three Peaks Challenge
Join us for our popular walking challenge in the picturesque Macclesfield countryside.
Join us in June
The Cheshire Three Peaks Challenge takes place every June and is a brilliant opportunity to support Francis House whilst safely enjoying the great outdoors.
With two distances to choose from, we have a route to suit everyone – regardless of walking prowess…
The Challenge route
Conquer three of Cheshire’s highest peaks on the demanding 13.6 mile route, covering steep terrain over magnificent scenery.
On this route you’ll tackle Tegg’s Nose, Shutlingsloe and Shining Tor. Winding through the scenic Macclesfield landscape, the walk encompasses Trentabank and Lamaload Reservoir, offering spectacular views from all three summits. The route covers some very steep terrain and requires a good level of fitness. Freshly prepared lunch packs will be provided mid-route.
Average walk time: 6.5 hours.
£20pp / FREE for under 16s
The Family Trail
All ages and abilities can enjoy this 6.5 mile ramble through the countryside, whilst optionally solving clues and scavenging for items along the way.
Whilst well-suited to families and less experienced hikers, the walk is nonetheless challenging and takes you through beautiful moorland, heathland and woodland. There is also the option to challenge yourself further with our Scavenger Trail along this route. Solve all the clues and the winning team will receive a prize.
Average walk time: 3.5 hours
Cost: £15 (free for under 16s)
“It was the best day ever; it was very challenging, but we enjoyed every minute of it.”Michelle Stokes
