Join us at the launch at Didsbury Library on Saturday 30th March.
Twenty five giant knitted chicks will be on display in the windows of local businesses in Didsbury throughout April.
Organiser Francis House is inviting members of the public to hunt for the unique handmade chicks as part of ‘The Francis House Great Didsbury Easter Chick Hunt’.
Maps are available from the twenty five venues that have backed the appeal. These include: restaurants, cafes, a tennis club, flower shop and toy shop.
To kick off the appeal, staff from Francis House and will be outside Didsbury Library, off Wilmslow Road, on Saturday March 30 from 10 am until 2pm handing out maps.
There will be a stall selling mini-knitted chicks, a face painter and chick themed arts and crafts activities in the library.
Ellie Bridges, fundraiser at Francis House said: “The chick hunt is back and bigger than ever with five new venues added this year as we extend the trail into West Didsbury. We are delighted to welcome Greens Restaurant and The Flower Lounge as well as the other traders and thank them for hosting our chicks. We hope lots of families will get involved and support their local children’s hospice – happy hunting!”
The chick hunt is running from March 30 until April 30. Prizes are on offer for completed entries. A donation of £2 per entry is suggested.
