The internationally operating consultancy with offices in London and Manchester picked Francis House as their Charity of the Year 2018/2019.

Daniel Rosenthal, Commercial Director said: “When we embarked on supporting Francis House in 2018, giving back to the community through charity fundraising was the one thing we weren’t doing as a business. By that time our team had grown significantly, and we felt the time was right to support a local charity.”

Senior Administrator, Beth Johnson, researched local charities and drew up a shortlist for an office staff vote at the New Bailey Street, Manchester offices.

The thirty strong team kicked off their efforts by sponsoring colleague Adam Salkie to grow a moustache for two months and quickly raised £1,000. Dress down Fridays, movie days and team nights out followed along with participation in the Easter Knitted Chick Appeal, Great Manchester Run and the Francis House Cheshire Three Peaks challenge.

"Fundraising for Francis House made a big difference across the business. It enabled us to get involved in events we wouldn't have otherwise pursued; and to do so with empathy and understanding. Our team is used to working towards goals, but reaching our fundraising target brought a greater sense of achievement for everyone."

Within two years a total of £6,107.00 was raised to help towards the £12,900 daily running costs providing professional care, support and friendship in a home from home environment.

Rachel Astill, fundraiser at Francis House said: “We feel very fortunate to have worked with a company as enthusiastic and generous as Interlink. We’ve loved hearing about their creative ways to raise funds – Adam’s fabulous ‘tash for cash’ gave us all a good smile! Daniel, Beth, Adam and the team have been super supporters; not only were they keen to get involved with our events, but their eagerness to learn more about the hospice over the partnership showed their true compassion for our cause.”

Our fundraising team are eager to hear from businesses of any size keen to give something back to their local community. The team will work with companies to generate exciting and motivating fundraising ideas.

Francis House supports families from more than 30 Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) across Greater Manchester and Cheshire including Trafford, Stockport, Manchester, Bury and Oldham.
