Running enthusiast Jason decided to take on a personal challenge, creating a jam-packed calendar of more than thirty 10ks, half marathons and ultra marathons over 2018.

With an ambitious fundraising target of £2018, Jason from Cheadle Hulme, is determined to reach his goal before he concludes his running bonanza at the end of October.

Jason’s colleagues at Citation, Wilmslow, have been backing his efforts. Team mates have been running a ‘Guess the Time’ sweepstake, predicting his finishing times for the four final races in the hope of winning fantastic prizes donated by Manchester United, Junkyard Golf, Collette’s Complementary Therapies and Hustyns Hotel and Spa in Cornwall.

“I chose to raise money for Francis House this year because it is an amazing cause and deserves all the support I can give."

His fellow members in Warrington Running Club have also been supporting Jason. The club raised over £300 by holding a bake sale at the English Half Marathon last month whilst Jason ticked the race off his list.

Generous donations totalling £350 from Wirehouse Employer Services have helped to boost Jason’s total.

“When you look at the work that is carried out for some of the more vulnerable people within our society, it brings into perspective how lucky most of us are and how minor our own issues are without us even realising it,” said Jason.

His final challenge will be the Leeds Marathon taking place on October 28. If you would like sponsor Jason and show your support of his efforts you can donate via his JustGiving page: www.justgiving.com/fundraising/jason-bruce88.

Best of luck Jason and thank you for all the support!
