Recycling Proves the Perfect Fit

bankBIU Group’s recycling schemes have generated more than £50,000 for Francis House over the last three years, thanks to supporters using the 50 recycling banks throughout Greater Manchester.

Francis House receives a sustainable revenue stream from the sales of clothing, shoes and household textiles such as towels and bed linen.  Good quality items are sold for reuse in the UK and overseas, whilst some items are recycled for their material or fibre content.  Peter Forster our Fundraising Office Manager said,

“We’re so grateful for the revenue we receive from Bag It Up and the more sites we have for recycling banks the more donations we would get.  If anyone can offer a suitable community centre, pub or church with space and access for collections we’d like them to get in touch.”
