We're holding an information evening for adventurous walkers seeking an unforgettable overseas trip.
Francis House trek Iceland in 2017
The trek to the ‘Accursed Mountains of Albania’ takes place in September and is the fourth global challenge to be organised by Francis House.
With a number of places already filled, the informal evening on Tuesday Feb 26, will give participants the opportunity to meet fellow trekkers and anyone thinking of joining the trip the chance to ask questions and discover more about the adventure.
The Albanian Alps offer an unspoilt wilderness of magnificent snow-capped peaks, gorges, lakes and dense forests, dotted with tiny stone-built hamlets that have changed little in years.
The challenging trip is taking place from 6th – 14th September, and will involve five full days of adventurous trekking taking in breath-taking and remote mountain panoramas whilst hiking between simple guesthouse accommodations in traditional mountain villages.
Also on offer to prepare for the challenge are a number of training walk days, including the Cheshire Three Peaks Challenge on Sunday 16th June.
Previous treks including Iceland and Morocco have raised a staggering £112,000 in sponsorship.
The information evening, which includes supper is being held from 7 pm at the hospice in Didsbury on Tues Feb 26. Anyone wanting to find out more about this is a once in a lifetime opportunity please contact Rachel Astill.
