Groups
Many types of group support Francis House, from membership bodies like Rotary Groups and WIs to faith groups and sports and hobby clubs.
Support from a variety of groups helps us to raise vital funds and spread awareness of Francis House amongst the many communities of Greater Manchester.
Get your Group involved
Invite a member of the Fundraising Team along as a speaker
Many people have heard of Francis House but don’t always know exactly what it is we do. Our team enjoy visiting local groups across the Greater Manchester area to tell people about our work. We are able to bring along equipment to screen our presentation and a short film. We don’t ask for a specific speaker’s fee, but donations are gratefully received. Fill out our booking form to request a speaker.
Volunteer your support
Fundraising volunteers are a huge help to us. We’re often looking for groups of volunteers to assist with supermarket or match day bucket collections, or to help out with our events.
Put on your own event
Perhaps your group could organise a special event in aid of Francis House? Examples of some that have worked really well include Reddish Angling Club’s 24-hour ‘Fish-a-Thon’, Didsbury Women’s Cricket Club’s Afternoon Tea and a fun day and sponsored walk organised by the Friends of Ladybarn Park.
Fundraise at your next meeting
Raffles, collections and bake sales are very easy to organise and very effective at raising funds.
